Jaipur: In preparation for the elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently conducted two meetings in Delhi to discuss the selection of candidates for 76 constituencies. The first meeting took place at Pralhad Joshi’s residence, a member of the BJP core group, where they focused on assembling panels for assemblies. Following this, a second meeting was held at the residence of J.P. Nadda, the party president, attended by figures such as Home Minister Amit Shah and National Organization General Secretary B.L. Santosh.
During these meetings, various topics were discussed, including analyzing survey results addressing concerns regarding caste equations, and considering recommendations from the state core committee. Notable leaders like Vasundhara Raje, C.P. Joshi, Rajendra Rathore, and Satish Poonia were among the eight individuals at the state core committee meeting. These discussions played a role in shaping the candidate selection process to ensure that strong contenders are fielded by the BJP in the elections.
The meeting held at J.P. Nadda’s residence also delved into these matters further by examining survey results and evaluating each constituency’s status. This comprehensive analysis aimed to make informed decisions regarding candidate selection and devise an electoral strategy, for the party.
In addition, it is anticipated that the main election committee of the BJP will convene in the future on Wednesday to further deliberate and make decisions regarding the selection of candidates, for the upcoming elections.
