Gwalior: In the Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh, there has been a last-minute change in the candidate representing the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for one of the assembly seats. This change has transformed the election for this seat into a three-way battle. Pralhad Singh, who is also known as Prakash Taylor, is now the BSP candidate for the Gwalior East assembly seat after submitting his nomination papers.
Previously Ramchandra Gurjar was nominated as the BSP candidate. However, due to increasing dissatisfaction among party members, they decided to switch their candidate to Pralhad Singh. Pralhad Singh has been actively involved in politics in the Gwalior East constituency since 2000. His wife, Ganga, was elected as a councilor in both 2004 and 2009.
Pralhad Singh believes that this time voters in Gwalior East are not favoring either BJP or Congress but also showing support for BSP. He expresses confidence in securing a victory and claims support from the population. The competition for the Gwalior East assembly seat becomes more interesting with candidates such as Maya Singh from BJP and Satish Sikarwar from Congress entering the electoral arena.
It’s important to mention that Gwalior East is a contested constituency in the elections, and the recent change in the BSP candidate to Pralhad Singh has further complicated the electoral landscape. The BSP, BJP, and Congress will fiercely vie for the support of the voters.
