Bilga: In an incident that occurred in Bilga, a town in Punjab, a 36-year-old man named Jagdeep Singh Jaggi tragically lost his life in an extremely brutal and heart-wrenching manner. According to reports, Jaggi was mercilessly beaten to death before his mother’s eyes, leaving the entire family in a state of profound shock and grief.
The series of events leading up to this horrifying incident began four days ago when Jaggi became involved in a dispute. During this altercation, the attackers allegedly issued threats to Jaggi’s mother, warning her that if her son was found at a location, he would be killed.
Without delay, the Bilga police station took action against the accused individuals, who have been identified as Chandan Kumar Chandi, Gurpreet Singh Gopi, Sajan alias Ghai, Jaskaran Singh Bambi, and Sahil Kumar Shaili. They have been charged under sections 302, 506, 148, and 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), emphasizing the seriousness of their crime.
Mahinder Kaur – Jaggi’s mother – who is now 68 years old, shared that she has two sons and three daughters. Enough, her elder son Ranjit Singh Sonu passed away ten years ago. Furthermore, she is widowed as her husband is no longer with us.
Jaggi, the person who was harmed, had a job as a plumber. Also did work. The family lives were completely disrupted on October 19th when Sajan and Gurpreet, two of the individuals involved, came to their house in the evening. During that time, Jaggi was not present at home.
However, the situation took a dreadful turn on Monday evening when the police apprehended one of the suspects, Shaili. An intensive interrogation is currently underway to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding this brutal crime.
According to Mahinder Kaur, on Sunday night, at around 8 PM, they received distressing news that there was an altercation involving her son at the cremation ground. She rushed to the scene only to find her son being brutally attacked by the accused, who were armed with sticks and a bat. Jaggi’s friends attempted to intervene and save him, but the assailants continued their assault.
