Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress has unveiled its manifesto in preparation for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections in 2023. This time, the election slogan is “Congress will come, bring prosperity.” The Congress party has made several significant pledges in the manifesto specifically aimed at benefiting journalists in the state. 

Kamal Nath, the PCC chief, has stated that if the Congress government comes to power, there will be substantial increases in journalists’ honorarium, raising it to 25,000 rupees. Furthermore, the manifesto outlines plans to provide free health insurance to journalists and their families, recognizing the essential role they play in society. 

Additionally, the Congress promises to establish a Journalist Consultative Committee, giving journalists a voice in the decision-making process, ensuring that their concerns and needs are addressed. The manifesto envisions the development of new urban centers in metropolitan areas specifically designed to cater to the needs of journalists. Furthermore, new regulations will be instituted to govern advertising practices for newspapers, magazines, and digital newspapers and channels, creating a fair and transparent environment for media outlets to thrive.
