Pithoragarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday offered prayers at Parvati Kund in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh. Dressed in a local traditional attire, he also played a power drum and conch shell while offering prayers at the Parvati Kund,

“I am overwhelmed with the darshan and worship at the holy Parvati Kund of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. The mind is also happy with the darshan of Adi Kailash from here. From this place of spirituality and culture nestled in the lap of nature, he wished a happy life for all the family members of his country”, wrote PM Modi on X.

PM Modi shall have darshan of the Adi Kailash peakm an abode of Lord Shiva as he is on a day-long visit to Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region during which he is scheduled to visit Jageshwar Dham and the border village of Gunji. He shall inaugurate and lay foundation stone of development projects worth Rs. 4200 crores in Pithoragarh and will also address a public meeting.

Cultural troupes from Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region will welcome Modi at several points of renovated 6-km road decorated with murals and paintings as he travels from Naini Saini airport to a public meeting.
