Ahmedabad: In a development, law enforcement in Ahmedabad has apprehended an individual suspected of sending an email targeting the Narendra Modi Stadium. This incident has raised concerns, especially because the stadium is currently hosting matches for the ongoing cricket World Cup, including the anticipated India-Pakistan cricket match scheduled for October 14.

The arrested individual, who comes from Madhya Pradesh and reportedly doesn’t have any record, was taken into custody in Rajkot, Gujarat. Officials have traced the email back to this person, although specific details about its contents have not been revealed.

In response to this threat, security measures for the India-Pakistan World Cup cricket match on October 14 have been significantly intensified. A substantial force of over 11,000 personnel from agencies like the Gujarat Police, National Security Guard (NSG) Rapid Action Force (RAF), and home guards will be deployed in Ahmedabad and at the Narendra Modi Stadium during the match. 

These extensive security preparations aim to ensure a peaceful atmosphere, for this high-profile cricket showdown that is expected to attract an enthusiastic audience.
