Etawah: A young woman, who is 18 years old, was taken into custody on Monday after a discovery in a village located in the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. The decapitated bodies of her two sisters, aged six and four, were found at their home in Bahadurpur village on Sunday evening around 8 pm. The victims have been identified as Surbhi (6) and Roshni (4) both daughters of Jaiveer Singh.

According to Kanpur range Inspector General of Police (IG) Prashant Kumar, the accused individual has reportedly confessed to committing this horrifying crime. Authorities are now investigating to uncover the motive behind this incident.

As part of the investigation into this case, which has been filed under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (concealing evidence or providing information) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police have questioned three men, including the accused woman. Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Varma stated that they are currently interrogating her and will soon determine the reason behind the murder. They are also considering if these three men had any involvement in it.

The murder weapon, which was a spade, and the clothes worn by the accused on that day were recovered from their residence. Bloodstains were discovered on both the spade and the clothes, indicating an attempt to remove evidence through washing.

At the time of the incident, Jaiveer, his wife Sushila, and their sons Nand Kishore (12) and Kanhaiya (8) were not present at home.
