Hangzhou: India appears poised for another day of success on Saturday, September 30, as they advance to the finals in tennis mixed doubles and the squash men’s team event at the ongoing Asian Games.

In the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team qualification, Sarabjot Singh and Divya Thadigol showcased their skills by securing the top spot. However, despite their impressive performance, they had to settle for a silver medal in the final, narrowly losing 14-16 to the formidable Chinese team. This follows India’s success in the 10m air pistol women’s team event, where Esha Singh, Palak, and Divya Thadigol secured a silver medal.

The Indian medal tally received a significant boost when the men’s 50m rifle 3P team, comprising Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Swapnil Sunil Kusale, and Akhil Sheoran, clinched a gold medal.

Switching gears to squash, the Indian women’s team, represented by Joshna Chinappa, Tanvi Khanna, and Anahat Singh, showcased their prowess by securing a bronze medal, despite facing a tough challenge from Hong Kong in the semifinals.

The day’s achievements didn’t stop there, as Kiran Baliyan made her mark in the women’s shot put event, securing a bronze medal with a remarkable throw of 17.36 meters on her third attempt.

As the Asian Games continue, India remains a formidable presence on the medal tally, thanks to the dedication and skill of its athletes across various disciplines. The nation eagerly anticipates more remarkable performances in the days to come.
