Raipur- As the Chhattisgarh assembly elections approach, both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress are stepping up their preparations. Expressing confidence in regaining power in the state.

Rahul Gandhi, a leader of the Congress, recently made a statement by saying, “We are making our way back to MP Chhattisgarh.” This sentiment was echoed by Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who firmly believes that the Congress government will stage a comeback in the state.

CM Bhupesh Baghel emphasized that while the BJP is relatively weak in Chhattisgarh, the Congress stands strong. He clarified that this confidence is not based on overconfidence but rather on the trust and support of the Chhattisgarh people towards his party. The Congress is contesting under Baghels leadership. Relies on its welfare schemes and development initiatives to win over voters.

Recently, Rahul Gandhi held an election rally in Bilaspur where he strongly criticized the BJP while highlighting his government’s achievements. The appointment of Health Minister TS Singhdeo as Deputy Chief Minister was also a move by the Congress to address dynamics within the state.

In contrast, the BJP in Chhattisgarh adopts a collective leadership approach, with Prime Minister Modi being its figurehead. Not having a leader represent the party has emerged as a concern in the state’s political arena.

As the election campaign intensifies, Chhattisgarh remains a battleground for these two political giants, with both parties vying for the mandate of the people and the opportunity to lead the state. The contest promises to be closely watched and fiercely fought.
