Indore: A significant political development took place in Madhya Pradesh when Pramod Tandon, a known and influential leader known for his loyalty to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, made a comeback to the Congress party on Saturday, September 23. This move strengthens the Congress party’s position as they gear up for the state elections, with Tandon becoming the prominent leader to rejoin their ranks.

From Indore, Pramod Tandon had been a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state working committee before recently leaving the party. Together with two leaders, Ramkishore Shukla and Dinesh Malhar, who had also parted ways with the BJP, Tandon officially rejoined the Congress during a significant event held in Indore. The presence of Kamal Nath the state party president, at this event, symbolized the welcome extended by the party to these returning leaders.

Pramod Tandon’s return to Congress holds significance due to his close association with Jyotiraditya Scindia and his late father Madhavrao Scindia. In 2020, Tandon was among those who left Congress to join the BJP under Jyotiraditya Scindia’s leadership.

His return to the Congress is the time a loyalist from the Scindia camp has come back to the party. This follows in the footsteps of Samandar Patel, a member of the BJP working committee, who rejoined the Congress in Bhopal on August 18 with a group of supporters.
