Faridabad: According to police sources, Crime Branch Sub Inspector Rakesh and his team are currently facing murder charges following an alleged shooting incident in Faridabad’s Pauta. The victim, Balvinder (also known as Ballu), was reportedly involved in robbery and snatching cases. The police claim that Balvinder fired at them, prompting them to respond with gunfire in self-defence.
The Faridabad Police have registered a case against the Crime Branch team under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) at Sector 48. However, the father of Ramesh disputes the police’s account of what transpired.
He asserts that his son was unarmed and alleges that Ballu was shot by the police while returning home from a temple on a Sunday morning. Despite being rushed to BK Hospital, Ballu did not survive. Ramesh received news of his son’s demise at 7 am through the village sarpanch, which the police had informed him.
Ramesh firmly believes that his son was not involved in any activities and raises doubts about the police’s assertion of acting in self-defence. He explicitly describes the incident as a case of murder.
