Bijapur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited Bijapur, where he addressed a gathering at the mini stadium. During his speech, CM Baghel strongly criticized the BJP, asserting that the state had witnessed no significant development in the 15 years of its governance. In contrast, he emphasized the progress achieved under his leadership since being entrusted with power by the people.
Refuting allegations of a supposed cow dung scam worth Rs 11 crore, Baghel clarified that the actual expenditure on cow dung amounted to only Rs 265 crore. He denounced the spreading of rumors regarding the alleged scam.
Highlighting the advancements in Bijapur, particularly in sports, Baghel proudly shared that local children from Bijapur were representing the country in international competitions, including Japan and China. He noted the transformation of the region, where the emergence of tractor showrooms and clothing manufacturing units demonstrated tangible progress. Previously, clothes were imported, but now Bijapur contributed to the national and global textile market.
The Chief Minister also lauded developments in education and healthcare services. He underscored the government’s commitment to security and ongoing efforts to facilitate widespread development.
During his visit, CM Baghel inaugurated a garment factory located in Itpal, inspecting the textile manufacturing processes within. This factory, constructed at a cost of Rs 6 crore 90 lakh 27 thousand, represents a significant step towards enhancing local employment and contributing to the textile industry.
