New Delhi: A horrifying incident occurred in northeast Delhi where a woman tragically lost her life in a murder allegedly committed by her husband. The motive behind this act seems to be driven by suspicions of the woman’s involvement in an affair. The distressing event occurred on the evening of September 17th at around 8:08 PM, when authorities received a call reporting the murder at the woman’s residence in the Khajuri Khas area. Responding promptly, a team of police officers was dispatched to the scene.
Upon reaching the location, law enforcement officers discovered the body of a woman identified as Draupadi lying facedown beneath a bed. The room presented evidence with blood traces, indicating a struggle had occurred. Draupadi’s 15-year-old daughter, who was present during this incident, confirmed her mother’s identity. She shared that her stepfather, Sunil, had been noticeably absent since September 16th and locked their room before disappearing without any explanation. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey stated that Sunil and Draupadi had a history of arguments which further adds to the nature of this incident.
Draupadi’s daughter last saw her alive on September 16th around 12;30 PM. Eventually, with the landlord present, they managed to open the room. Came across this gruesome sight.
The investigation discovered that the deceased had a wound on her forehead and a scarf tightly wrapped around her neck, which added an element to the tragedy.
The findings revealed that Draupadi had been previously married to Jyotish Yadav, and they had four children together. The other three children from her marriage live with Jyotish Yadav in Madhepura, Bihar.
