New Delhi: On Thursday, the High Commission of India in Bangladesh expressed gratitude to the Dhaka Government for extending support in its fight against the global pandemic. The Indian High Commission tweeted, “Thank You @MOFA_Dhaka for expressing solidarity of #Bangladesh with #India and for support extended as #IndiaFightsCorona”.

The Commission was much confident that both the countries together can overcome Covid-19. It further added, “Confident #IndiaBangladesh friendship will help us all overcome #Covid-19 together @PMOIndia @ DrSJaishankar @HarshVShringla @VDoraiswami @MEAIndia”.

Bangladesh has decided to help India in this deadly battle. The country has stated to provide emergency medicines and medical equipment supplies for the people of India. A foreign ministry press release stated that the medical equipment supplies include about 10,000 vials of injectable anti-viral, 30,000 PPE kits, and several thousand zinc, calcium, vitamin C and other necessary tablets. At this critical moment of India, Bangladesh has promised to provide support in every possible means.

A major report stated, “The Government of Bangladesh expresses deep sorrow and condolences at the loss of lives in India due to the recent spread of the Covid pandemic”. India’s total active Covid cases has reached 30,84,814. In the last 24 hours, there was a massive surge in the cases.
