Bhopal: SOS Meeting Called by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Delineate Measures on COVID Containment

Bhopal: Amidst the spiking rise and shortage of resources, Madhya Pradesh CM called for an emergency cabinet meeting. 

The meeting is scheduled for 4 pm in the afternoon today. This virtual convene amongst the higher authorities is expected to postulate stringent measures to break the infection chain. 

The state health union reported 12,727 infections in a single day. The statistics of the state reports 5,274 out of 1o lakh people in MP tested positive for the virus. The caseload of the state since the outbreak is 4,33,704. Currently, 78,721 active cases are being treated in state hospitals. With 80.9% as the recovery rate, the state treated 8,937 COVID patients in the past 24hours. Nearly 4,713 succumbed to death due to the deadly virus.
