New Delhi: The Kejriwal government urged CBSE to cancel board exams. This development was reported after the national capital recorded the highest surge so far with 13,500 fresh infections. He also appealed to the people in the city “to not leave homes unless absolutely necessary”.

During a video conference, Kejriwal said, “Conducting board exams can lead to the large-scale spread of coronavirus, alternative methods of assessment can be explored. Students can be promoted on basis of either online exams or internal assessment.” The Aam Aadmi Party Chief stressed the timid situation the national capital is combating.

The state government on Monday reported a three-fold rise in its oxygen requirement. Around 14 private hospitals are directed to establish COVID Centre. Nineteen private hospitals are ordered to reserve at least 80 percent of their intensive care unit (ICU) beds for Covid treatment.
