NCR: On Thursday, the Gautam Budh Nagar district administration declared night curfew in Noida and Greater Noida till April 17 to control the rising cases of Covid-19. The administration decided to impose strict night regulations from 10 pm to 5 am.

The Ghaziabad administration also took the same step to control the infection. All the movement of goods and medical services will be exempted. The restrictions will be in force from Thursday.

The order also stated that all the exams including the practicals will be held as per the schedule. But except that, the institutes will remain closed. “All government, private educational institutes(except medical, paramedical and nursing) including coaching institutes shall be barred from holding physical classes till April 17, 2021”, the order said.

All the people of Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad are requested by the administration to strictly follow all the protocols of Covid-19. Face masks and sanitization are much more important.

Ajay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate of Ghaziabad said, “It has been decided to impose night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am in Ghaziabad district. The order comes into effect from tonight”.

Other states like Lucknow, Kanpur, and Varanasi also imposed similar instructions. In Lucknow, the curfew will start at 9 pm and will end at 6 am. In UP, there are currently 31,987 active cases and 8,964 deaths have been reported.
