Madhya Pradesh: Another Road Traffic Accident Reported at the Bridge in Babaiha Nullah district

Bhopal: A collision of two trucks killed the two on the spot. The accident occurred in the Babaiha Nullah district on an under-construction bridge. The truck overturned on the bridge causing a traffic jam on the road. 

The accident was reported to the police officials by the passer-by. A rescue team was immediately deployed to the spot. The driver was extracted from the vehicle and sent to the hospital for medical attention. Later, the collapsed trucks were lifted to clear the traffic.  The two dead are identified as the laborers traveling in the truck.

As per sources, two trucks collided directly near the under-construction bridge over Mandla Jabalpur National Highway No. 30, Babaiha Nullah under the Tikaria police station.

The district reported a car fall from the same bridge in the recent past. The car fell into the backwater of the Bargi Dam. A 16-hour rescue operation was performed to extract the car and the deceased from the 30 to 40 feet deep backwater area.

This spot of the bridge is too narrow due to which vehicles traveling at nightfall prey to accidents. It is reported that the construction agency hasn’t installed any signboard nor has there been any progress in its construction over the past 6 years.
