The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken to its official website to update the freshly detected count of nationwide COVID-affected people.

The number of people infected in the last 24 hours is 8,579, which is a significant decline in the column of daily caseload updated by the ministry on their official website.

Including the fresh case count, the overall number of coronavirus affected people across the states and the union territories, since the beginning of the pandemic, has reached 10,767,206. The number of the active caseload in the country currently stands at 1,60,728.

Also, as per the health ministry’s tally, the total number of cured COVID-affected patients has been recorded at 13,443. With that, the overall number of recovered people has reached 10,447,450.

A total of 94 people have died nationwide of this viral disease, which is also a visible fall off in the daily death rate. Including the lately recorded death count, the number of people who diedof the viral disease has reached 1,54,522.
