New Delhi: According to the data updated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on its official website, a total of 11,556 people have been affected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the overall case surge since the beginning of the pandemic has crossed the 10.7 crore mark, with 10,702,031 total number of cases.

The health ministry has also calculated the total number of currently active cases in the country, which stands at 1,70,856. Also, in the last 24 hours, 14,261 COVID-19 affected patients have recovered after staying in quarantine and having been under proper treatment.

With the latest count of recovery, the overall number of recovered people in the country has reached 10,372,818. On the other hand, a total of 123 people in India have died of the viral disease in the last 1 day. The latest death count has taken the overall number of deaths to 1,53,885.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Thursday has declared – “147 districts in the country have not seen a case of COVID-19 in last 7 days, 18 have not seen a case in last 14 days, 6 have not seen a case in last 21 days and 21 have not seen a case in last 28 days”.
