Raipur: The Centre has decided to award the police personnel across the states who have shown bravery during duty. Personnel whose names have been enlisted, will be honored during the celebration of the 72nd Republic Day on Tuesday.

Amongst the nationwide selected candidates for the award, there are 19 awardees from the state of Chhattisgarh. Among the ones selected for the award, 8 will be rewarded with Police Medal of Gallantry, One will get President Police Medal, and the rest of the 10 will be awarded Police Medal.

Personnel who are getting the Medal of Gallantry, are – Santosh Hemla (Sub Inspector) [1st time]; TP Dilip (Head Constable), Ajay Sonkar (Inspector), Abdul Samir Khan (Inspector) [3rd time]; Om Prakash Sen (Company Commander) [1st time]; Raman Usendi (Inspector) [2nd time]; Ramesh Kumar Sori (Assistant Sub Inspector) [2nd time], and Leeladhar Rathore (Inspector).

Pradeep Gupta, the Director of Forensic Science Lab, Raipur, is going to be honored with the Medal of Bravery by the President. Besides, Sohan Lal (Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force Baghera-Durg), Manisha Singh Nayan (Inspector, S.P. Office, Jagadalpur), Varsha Sharma and Kamalesh Kumar (Sub Inspectors, Police Training Center, Tajnandgaon) will be honored for their outstanding services.

Apart from them, PD Ashok Kumar (Sub Inspector, Special Task Force), Tularam Bank (Assistant Sub Inspector), Arun Bahadur (Head Constable, 12th Battalion of C.A.F. Ramanujganj), Keshav Kumar Dhruv (Head Constable, Police Line, Bijapur), Ravindra Kumar Bhuarya (Constable) , Ashwini Kumar Singh (Head Constable) have been enlisted to be honored during the award ceremony.
