Virat Kohli, the captain of team India has taken to his Twitter and Instagram handle this morning to share the news of becoming a father for the first time. The cricketer and his wife Anushka Sharma have become parents of a baby girl on Monday. Since he shared the post, fans and celebrities have been showering love and blessings on social media. Kohli, in his post, along with sharing his delight, also requested his fans to respect their privacy.
His post read – “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat”.
Kohli’s sister Bhawna and brother Vikas Kohli also took to their social media handles to express their happiness in the arrival of the ‘gift from heaven’.
Virat’s sister Bhawna, on her Instagram story, shared a post, which read – “A baby girl is a blessing. A gift from heaven above. A precious little angel to cherish and love.” She further wrote – “So happy to be bua of a beautiful little angel. Congratulations, proud parents, Virat and Anushka”. Kohli’s brother Vikas, on his Instagram handle, shared an animated picture of the little feet, captioning it “Happiness overboard …. angel in the house”.
