The India International Science Festival is going to start tomorrow. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Union Health Minister revealed that PM Narendra Modi will raise the curtain for the 4-days program. The Union Minister at a press conference on Monday, said that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the program at 4:30 PM on Tuesday.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India International Science Festival-2020 at 4:30 PM tomorrow. On December 25, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will participate in the closing ceremony of the festival”, adding that “the India International Science Festival will begin on December 22 and will conclude on December 25.”
The Health Minister, during the conference, gave assurance to the people of India that the Centre is hugely concerned about the latest strain coming out form UK. He also adviced the people not to panic. Notably, the UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Sunday announced that the new strain of coronavirus traced in their country is ‘out of control’.
The Health Minister said in the press conference, that “India International Science Festival-2020 will start from December 22 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Ramanujan and will culminate on December 25, on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee”. Dr. Vardhan added that the theme for the festival is going to be ‘Science for Self-Reliant India and Global Welfare”.
