Chhattisgarh: Married police officer held for physically assaulting Constable’s Daughter

Raipur: This is an incident that took place in Durg district of Chhattisgarh, where an M.Sc. student, also the daughter of a constable serving under the Chhattisgarh police for several years, has been physically abused by a policeman. The reports say, the official, Fuleshwar Sahu, has been posted in the Newai police station. He has absconded after a case filed against him, under Section 376 and 376(2). 

According to the Durg police, the 23-year-old daughter of the constable has submitted a written complaint to the police, which says that she got in touch with the accused in December 2019 through social media. They started meeting in person in January 2020. In the meantime, the accused policeman kept bestowing fake temptation of marriage on the afflicted girl and kept misusing her physically. 

But when it was time for fixing a date for their wedding, the accused policeman firmly refused. Later, it was revealed that the man is already married, and he was misusing the constable’s daughter by giving her false hopes of marriage. Notably, the 23-year-old girl is an M.Sc. student. The accused policeman has been missing since December 5.
