After Tweeting in Favor of New Farm Laws, Sunny Deol Gets Y-Category Security

Politics: Actor turned politician Sunny Deol’s security has been upgraded to Y-category, which means he would always have 11 security personnel around him from now on, including two commandos and policemen. The up-gradation in his security came a day after he spoke in favor of the Centre’s new controversial farm laws.

The new laws have provoked massive protest from the farmers’ unions, mostly from Punjab and Haryana. Sunny’s tweet said that the matter ought to remain between the farmers and the government, but some other parties are poking their noses into the matter trying to instigate trouble. Deol is a Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur in Punjab.

Tweeting on the issue, the Gurdaspur MP wrote – “I request the entire world that this matter remains between our farmers and the government. Do not interfere, because they will find a way after holding discussions. I know that many people want to take advantage of it and create problems.
