New Delhi: India’s overall tally of COVID-19 cases reaches 97,67,371, with a total of 31,521 new cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of active cases in the country is 3,72,293.

The number of overall recovered patients in the country is 97,67,371, which has pushed the recovery rate to 94.66 percent, while 37,725 patients got cured of the viral disease in the last 24 hours. The overall death toll has mounted to 1,41,772, with 412 new deaths.

The coronavirus tally in the Thane district of Maharashtra has increased to 2,34,347, with 562 new cases. The death toll of the district has reached 5,778, with 12 new deaths due to the viral disease.

There are 6,670 active cases in the district, while 2,21,899 patients have recovered earlier. The recovery rate and the mortality rate in the district are 94.69% and 2.85% respectively.

Meanwhile, Britain has started mass vaccination with frontline workers and elderly citizens. The medicine regulatory board of Britain also gave fuller guidance on an earlier allergy warning about the vaccination shot, directing that a citizen “with a history of anaphylaxis to a medicine or food should not get the Pfizer-BioNTech COBID-19 vaccine”.
