Entertainment: Sunny Deol, the Bollywood actor-turned-BJP MP revealed today that he has been tested positive for COVID-19. Posting on his Twitter handle, he informed his followers that he is doing well and that he has isolated himself. He also asked everyone who lately came into contact with him to isolate themselves and get tested immediately.
“I got the corona test done and the report came back positive. I am in isolation and my health is fine. I request that all of you who have come in contact with me in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get your test done” – tweeted Deol in Hindi.
The 64-year-old actor, who is also a BJP MP from Gurdaspur, has been tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. According to Amitabh Awasthi, the Health Secretary of Himachal Pradesh, the actor had been in the Kullu district for the last few days. The Chief Medical Officer said that Deol and his companions had been planning to leave for Mumbai when his COVID-19 result came out positive.
The actor-turned-MP has recently undergone a shoulder surgery in Mumbai. He was staying at a farmhouse near Manali in the Kullu district to convalesce after his surgery.
