Washington: US President Donald Trump said on Thursday, January 20 that, if The Electoral College confirmed Joe Biden as the winner of the November 3 election, then he will leave the White House, indicating that he is not prepared to concede defeat.
On a thanksgiving video conference with the members of the military forces at the White House, he said that it will be a mistake if the Electoral College elects Biden. Trump reiterated unsubstantiated claims about widespread voter fraud.
Biden won the presidential election over Trump who is continuing his legal efforts to upend his victory. “It was a massive fraud”, Trump said in the election. “We are like a third world country”, he said, referring to the voting infrastructure.
“I don’t know what is going to happen. I know one thing, Joe Biden did not get 80 million votes”, said Trump. He also claimed that he had got more than 74 million votes insisting that the votes for him had been tossed off.
State officials contradictory to Biden’s statement said that they don’t have any evidence of large-scale voter fraud. Trump’s effort to challenge the results in key states in courts have so far failed.
