Ramgarh: A 35-year-old unemployed man allegedly killed his father, Krishna Ram, a Central Coal Fields Limited(CCL) employee, to get job in the PSU (Public sector undertakings) on compassionate ground, police said.

The deceased was a 55 years old, and a head security guard posted in the central workshop of Central Coal Fields Ltd, situated at Barkankana in Ramgarh district. He was found dead at his quarter, with a throat slit.

The 35-year-old son of Krishna Ram murdered him on Wednesday night, by slitting his throat with a hummer knife, said Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Prakash Chandra Mahato, in a press conference.

The police went through their search operations inside the quarter and recovered the small hummer knife that was used in the murder, and deceased mobile phone.

In the latest development, The police claimed that the elder son of the deceased confessed his crime during the interrogation. He admitted that he killed his father to get a job at Central Coal Fields Ltd on compassionate ground. As per the provisions of the organization, the legal dependent of the employee would be employed if the employee dies before his service tenure ends.
