New Delhi: As India created a global record yesterday with the highest single-day rise of nearly 79,000 Covid-19 cases, Today it hit another spike of 78,512  cases in the last 24 hours. 

With this, the total tally of  caseload surpassed 36 lakh mark. India’s trajectory of everyday instances of the coronavirus infection is presently the most elevated compared to any nation and is quickly narrowing the gap with Brazil’s case count.

 With 971 deaths in the last 24 hours. COVID-19 case tally in the country stands at 36,21,246 including 7,81,975 active cases, 27,74,802 cured/discharged/migrated and 64,469 deaths According to the data released by the health ministry. 

Five most influenced states by all out count of cases are:

  • Maharashtra – 7,80,689 
  • Andhra Pradesh – 4,24,767 
  • Tamil Nadu – 4,22,085
  • Karnataka – 3,35,928
  • Uttar Pradesh – 2,25,632

Cases continue to rise in Delhi with more than 2k new cases. The last time Delhi reported more than 2k new cases was on July 11. Recovery rate falls to 88.9%

Meanwhile, Total number of samples tested up to 30th August is 4,23,07,914 including 8,46,278 samples tested yesterday, ICMR data.

As many as 2,52,23,730 individuals around the world have been detected with Covid-19. While more than 16,618,,780 have recouped, 850,149 have died until this point. The US, the most exceedingly awful hit nation, has 6,173,229. cases. It is followed by Brazil, which has 3,862,311.
