Mumbai: On Tuesday night, Actor Sanjay Dutt announced sabbatical leave from Bollywood due to his health treatment. This comes after Sanjay Dutt reportedly been diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer.
Sanjay Dutt took to Twitter to share a note.
Hi friends, I’m taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well wishes not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and well wishes, I will be back soon,” he tweeted.

Last week, the actor had tweeted that he was doing well and had tested negative for covid. The 61-year old actor is said to leave for the US for treatment, according to media reports.
Dutt will next be seen in Sadak 2, along with Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The actor will also be seen in KGF – Chapter 2 as “adheera”.

Urmila took to Instagram to share an old picture of them from the 1997 film Daud, alongside a note that read: “Such an upsetting n horrible news that @duttsanjay has been diagnosed of lung cancer..but then again he has been such a fighter all his life.. here is wishing him a speedy recovery #prayersforspeedyrecovery #getwellsoon.”
Good friend and Co-star, Actor Riteish Deshmukh also commented on the post. Riteish wrote, “Get well soon Baba. We love you. Our prayers are with you for your speedy recovery.”
Simi Garewal also wished the actor speedy recovery. She tweeted “SanjayDutt So so sorry to hear the sad news. You have had very little joy and peace in your life. I pray you will recover – watch your kids growing up – and find health and happiness each day..”
Meanwhile, former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who is a cancer survivor himself, took to Twitter to offer some words of encouragement to Dutt.
