New Delhi: The third worst-hit country by the pandemic, India has been recording a bigger single-day jump in coronavirus cases over the last six days than the United States and Brazil, which have a higher caseload, according to the data shared by the World Health Organization.

As per the reports of the Health Ministry, the number of cases on Monday for novel coronavirus tally reached the 22-lakhs in India. There were latest 62,064 cases and the number of deaths reached to 44,386 includes 1,007 more fatalities.

The ministry expressed that recoveries climbed to 15,35,743 and also made a record for the recovery of people from corona virus in the last 24 hours which is more than  54,859. With this, India sets the recovery rate to 69.33 per cent. There is a drop to approximately 2.01 percent case fatality rate.

Currently, there are 6,36,515 active cases of coronavirus in India. Till now, there were 22,17,211 reported cases and the number of deaths reached to 44489 according to the health ministry data.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, the number of samples tested on Sunday were 4,77,023 which takes the total to 2,45,83,558. India has an estimated population of about 138 crore and a patient can be tested more than once. 

India’s condition in this pandemic is increasing day by day as the recovery rate is improving and testing is also increased at an exponential rate. As per reports, Russia has made the vaccine and the pandemic will be over with the coming of the vaccine in the market.
