Mumbai: A the battle heats up for the next year’s Lok Sabha elections, the 26-member opposition bloc- INDIA held its third Alliance meeting in Mumbai today. Picking up from where they left off in their last huddle at Bengaluru and carrying forward the process of laying a broader roadmap against the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the centre.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday expressed confidence that the opposition INDIA bloc will win next year’s Lok Sabha elections and asserted it is not only difficult but impossible to defeat the alliance.

In the third meeting of the Opposition bloc Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) in Mumbai, Raut called Rahul Gandhi as an undisputed leader. Along with the talks on strategy and inclusion of new allies, INDIA bloc logo may be unveiled and discussions are on for the common minimum programme (CMP) as a highlight for two-day deliberation.

The first meeting of INDIA took place on June 23 in Patna. It was hosted by Bihar’s chief minister Nitish Kuma’s United Janata Dal and 15 parties attended the meeting. The second meeting took place on July 17 in Bengaluru. Today over 63 representatives from 28 political parties will attend the meeting to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai.
