The movie “Gadar 2 ” featuring the duo of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, continues to make waves at the box office. After its ₹ 55 crore collection on Independence Day, the film experienced a decline in numbers on Wednesday. However, early reports indicate that it still managed to earn ₹ 34.50 crore, surpassing the ₹ 250 crore mark. 

With this momentum, it seems likely that it will reach the ₹ 300 crore milestone soon. As of now, the film has amassed a total of ₹ 263.48 crore domestically. It had an opening day with collections of ₹ 40 crore. Climbed even higher to an astonishing ₹ 51 crore by Sunday.

In the news related to cinema, the Rajinikanth-led film “Jailer,” which was released on August 10, crossed the domestic milestone of ₹ 200 crores on Independence Day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk within a week in theatres, it added another ₹15 crores to its collection, reaching a total of ₹225.65 crores. The film had an occupancy rate of around 42.43% on Wednesday.

Adding a touch to all this excitement, Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese Ambassador to India, expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth by collaborating with popular YouTuber Mayo San for a dance performance on a song, from “Jailer.”Suzuki wanted to highlight his love for Rajinikanth. He later shared the dance on X, the platform that used to be called Twitter, which helped it reach an audience.
