Mumbai: A worrisome incident took place in Jalgaon, where the police have filed a Non-Cognisable (NC) complaint against three individuals for assaulting a journalist Wednesday. A video capturing the incident has been widely shared on media since Thursday.

Initial investigations suggest that the assault might be connected to a meeting held by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde with the grieving parents of a girl who tragically fell victim to an alleged rape and murder in Jalgaon. The journalist, named Mahajan, had apparently posted criticism of the meeting, calling it nothing than a “show”. This post seems to have upset local MLA Kishor Patil resulting in an argument between them over the phone.

Regarding the weather situation, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that Mumbai can expect rainfall in a few days. The current conditions are not favorable for showers. Data from the 24 hours shows rainfall in Mumbai; 2 mm recorded at IMDs Santacruz observatory and 4 mm at Colaba coastal observatory. According to BMCs Automatic Weather Systems (AWS), the island city received 1.79 mm of rain, while the eastern suburbs received 4.21 mm and the western suburbs received 2.29 mm of rain.

In an incident, Khilanand Jha, a 65-year man who had come all the way from Delhi to Mumbai in search of help from actor Sonu Sood had his heartfelt desire granted. Jha, who was struggling with burdens caused by his wife’s medical bills, affectionately refers to Sood as the “savior of the underprivileged.”
