Amid the commotion, AAP MP Sanjay Singh faced the brunt of the disciplinary action.

He was suspended for the remaining duration of the Monsoon Session due to his unruly behavior and repeated defiance of the Chair’s directives in the Rajya Sabha. The motion to suspend Singh was moved by Union Minister Piyush Goyal after the MP protested in the well of the House. In the meantime, a group of Parliament members, from parties, including Manickam Tagore and Manish Tewari from Congress as well as Manoj Jha, from Rashtriya Janata Dal put forward a motion to adjourn business in the Lok Sabha.

Their objective was to address the ongoing “ethnic clashes” occurring in Manipur.
