Raipur: As many as 101 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Chhattisgarh on Monday. With this, Chhattisgarh nears the grim milestone of 2800 cases in the state.
On Monday evening, there were 67 new cases recorded from the state but at late night, Chhattisgarh health department informed about 34 more cases, which takes the total to 101 cases reported in a single day.
Of the new cases, 30 were reported from Durg district, 25 from Jashpur ,12 from Balodabazar, 10 from Raipur, Six from Gariyaband, five from Rajnandgaon, 3 each from Raigarh & Mahasamund, two each from Behemetara, Sukma & Dantewada, 1 each from Kabirdham, Janjgir-Champa,Korba, Narayanpur & Balod district.
On Monday, a total of 82 people were discharged from different hospitals following their recovery. This brings the tally to 2150 patients who have recovered so far. The present recovery rate of the state is 76%, which is more than that of the entire nation that stands at 58%.
“The cases include 632 active cases, 2,150 discharged and 13 deaths,” the Chhattisgarh Health Department said in a release.
