New Delhi– Recently, following a plea seeking an FIR against some prominent wrestlers such as Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia, among others, the Delhi police have submitted an action taken report. The wrestlers were accused of making false allegations directed towards Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh; he is both a BJP MP and also serves as WFI’s chief.
Accordingly, one complained that at Jantar Mantar, prominent figures like these raised slogans threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life alongside hate speech circulated by said individuals. Reviewing their investigation closely after being provided with evidence from the complainant expressing concern toward this behaviour from several athletes directly contradicts such claims argued against by said group surrounding their conduct during any protests concerning alleged false allegations arguing in favour without any merit behind them.
Police recommended dismissing the application, though Bam Bam Maharaj Nauhatiya initially filed it; he claims to be the national chief of ‘Atal Jan Party’. The hearing scheduled to continue discussing this matter is set for July 7th.
The wrestlers in the protest against Brij Bhushan and the Government have temporarily agreed to halt their demonstrations until June 15. This marks a potential breakthrough in the standoff.
