New Delhi: A severe cyclonic storm, named Biparjoy, is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal on June 9. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for several states, including West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

The storm is expected to make landfall in West Bengal on June 11. It is likely to bring heavy rains and strong winds to the state. The IMD has warned of widespread damage to property and crops.
