Indore– The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has been given one month to improve its system by the Madhya Pradesh government. The government has issued a notice to the IMC, stating that it is not satisfied with the corporation’s performance.
The insufficient drainage system, bad roads, and improper waste disposal are just a few reasons the government has voiced its displeasure. The large number of dengue cases, which were 1200 in the city, has also alarmed the administration.
The IMC has one month to make system improvements. The corporation may experience severe repercussions, including suspending its officials if it doesn’t meet government requirements.
The IMC has stated that it is committed to enhancing its system and would take all required actions to satisfy the government’s demands. The firm has further stated that it will cooperate with the administration to keep Indore clean, healthy, and habitable.
The IMC has received a huge wake-up call due to the government’s notification. The Madhya Pradesh government issued the notice on March 8, 2023. The notice was addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of the Indore Municipal Corporation. The notice stated that the government was unsatisfied with the corporation’s performance. The notice listed several reasons for the government’s dissatisfaction, including the poor condition of roads, the lack of proper garbage disposal, and the inadequate drainage system. The notice also expressed concern about the city’s high number of dengue cases.
The notice gave the corporation one month to improve its system. If the corporation fails to meet the government’s expectations, it could face severe consequences, including the suspension of its officials.
The government’s warning is a reminder that the IMC can no longer afford to take its work lightly, as it has often been criticised for its subpar performance.
