Bhopal– The Congress party is preparing for the legislative elections in Madhya Pradesh. There is much rumor about who will receive tickets and who won’t now that the party has begun the ticket distribution procedure.
In a recent statement, Congress leader Jeetu Patwari said that the party will ensure that all its leaders are accommodated, even if they do not get tickets. Patwari said that the party will find other ways to utilize the services of its leaders. Patwari’s statement comes at a time when there is a lot of resentment among Congress leaders who are not likely to get tickets. Some leaders have even threatened to resign from the party if they are not given tickets.
The Congress party will have a formidable opponent in the next assembly elections. For years, the party has been out of power in Madhya Pradesh. The BJP, now in power, is anticipated to oppose the Congress hard. If the Congress party hopes to prevail in the next assembly elections, its leadership team must be strong. Even if none of the party’s leaders receive tickets, the party must find a way to include them all.
