New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Dahal ‘Prachangra’ held bilateral talks at Hyderabad House today. The engagement comes as a part of Prachanda’s four-day official visit aimed at bolstering the longstanding and friendly relationship between the two nations.
Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi tweeted about the meeting, “Deepening the bonds of friendship and cooperation. PM @narendramodi greets PM @cmprachanda of Nepal as the latter arrives in Hyderabad House for bilateral talks”.
As Prachanda’s visit marks his first bilateral trip abroad since assuming office in December 2022, boosting cooperation in areas of energy, connectivity, and trade will be the central focus of discussions between the two countries.
Earlier in the day, Nepal Prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal laid a wreath at Raj Ghat in New Delhi and also wrote in the visitor’s book at Raj Ghat. As they proceed for discussions, the leaders have expressed their mutual desire to expand the overall ties between India and Nepal, with several agreements expected to finalise today.
