New Delhi: In a significant achievement, Patanjali Ayurved Limited on Tuesday launched its first and foremost evidence-based ayurvedic medicine for coronavirus contagion. Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna launched the ayurvedic COVID-19 medicine at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar in the state of Uttarakhand.
On the launch of medicine, the yoga guru Swami Ramdev said that the whole nation and the world had been waiting for Corona virus medicine. It is a matter of pride that we have developed the first ayurvedic medicine with the combined efforts of Patanjali Ayurveda research centre and NIMS named as ‘Coronil’.
“We jointly conducted clinical study on 100 patients. Around 65 per cent of them returned negative test results within three days”, the yoga guru said.
Yoga guru Ramdev said that hundred per cent patients got cured within three to seven days. We prepared this medicine with adequate research. This medicine has a 100 per cent recovery rate along with zero per cent death rate.
He claimed that Patanjali has followed all scientific rules in developing ‘Coronil’ ayurvedic medicine to treat Covid-19 patients.
An ayurvedic drug for Covid-19 has been launched by Patanjali at a time when over 100 candidate-vaccines are at various stages of development across the globe while some of the vaccines are in advanced stages of human trials.
In the race for developing a Coronavirus vaccine, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Sanofi, BioNtech, and China’s CanSino Biologics are among the front-runners.
Amid the launch of first and foremost evidence-based ayurvedic medicine for COVID-19, the country has witnessed a spike of 2,49,680 infections from June 1 till date, with Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh contributing to almost 70 per cent of total cases.
As per the Union Health Ministry data, India’s COVID-19 tally jumped to 4,40,215 on Tuesday while the death toll rose to 14,011 with 312 new fatalities, after 14,933 people tested positive for coronavirus in a single day spike.
