Delhi: The Supreme Court has finally ended the legal tussle between the Centre and the Delhi government over control of services in the national capital. In a unanimous verdict, the Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud has ruled that the Delhi government has control over services. In contrast, the Centre has power over land, law, and order.

The bench further emphasized that real power must remain with the elected government. This landmark decision is a significant step towards ensuring effective governance and upholding democratic principles. This was a big victory for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and following this, many people congratulated the party through their tweets.

AAP MLA, Atishi tweeted congratulating CM Kejriwal for the victory.

The Delhi Minister Atishi also tweeted regarding the same. The Supreme Court has made a landmark decision in favor of the Delhi government, granting it control over administrative services in the national capital.

The ruling states that if administrative services are excluded from the legislative and executive domains, ministers must be excluded from controlling civil servants who implement executive decisions. This decision marks a significant victory for the Delhi government and reinforces its authority over key bureaucratic functions.
