Sukma: An encounter is being reported between the police and Naxals on the borders of Chhattisgarh and Telangana. Sources reveal that the encounter was reported in Puttapadu forest area under Charla police station area of Telangana.
Initial reports reveal a naxal has been encountered and an SLR weapon was recovered from his possession. The encounter is till going on as police suspects more naxals in the area. A complete report shall follow once the encounter and search operation is complete.
Earlier on Saturday, two IEDs were recovered during a search operation conducted by the security forces in Todamark area under Chintalnar police station area of Sukma district. These IEDs were planted with the aim of harming the soldiers. A joint tea, of STF and district force from Todamarka to Cobra and Elmagunda in Chintalnar police station left for search when they recovered IEDs near Jawan Murakraj Konda hill after crossing the river-drain. However, the force was successful in defusing the two IEDs on the spot.
