New Delhi: The Army ALH Dhruv helicopter with three on board crashed near Jammu and Kashmir today morning in the hill districts of Marwah area. The Army officials said that the pilot and co-pilot were rescued in an injured condition but are safe and undergoing treatment.

Initial reports reveal that the Army’s Cheetah helicopter was an operational sortie when it lost contact with the Air Traffic Controller. Officials revealed that a search and rescue operation has been launched in co-ordination with the local authorities. As further details on the incident remain awaited, sources revealed there was no telecommunication network near the crash site which is far off and has dense forest.
