Bhopal: According to a report released by Women and Child Development Department, more than 20 thousand kids are malnourished in Madhya Pradesh. The reports even say that the smaller cities have a significant proportion of these malnutrition kids compared to the major cities. Dhar has the highest number of malnutrition kids, tallying several 3901, followed by Chhindwara and Panna.

However, the numbers may have changed as these reports were released in December 2022. The Women and Child Development Department wrote the October to December 2022 quarter. The four main cities of Madhya Pradesh didn’t report many malnutrition cases as the acute cases count in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior were less than 500 each.

The reports also revealed about the modern acute malnutrition cases, which tallied around 60 thousand points. Dhar was also the top city in this category, having 7434 acute malnutrition cases, followed by 3538 cases in Barwani and 3112 moderate acute malnourished kids in Chhindwara. Along with that, the solving of these malnutrition cases were discussed in the budget. The MP Government also talked about this situation and said that they’ll be working hard to solve this problem.
