NEW DELHI: Petroleum and oil marketing companies have revised the the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders. As per reports, the price of 19 kg Commercial LPG cylinder has been slashed by ₹171.50. However, no changes in the prices of the domestic LPG cylinders were informed.
This is the second straight reduction in rates this year. Prices were earlier cut by ₹91.5 per 19-kg cylinder on April 1.
A 19 kg LPG cylinder will be available at a cost of Rs 1,856.50 in Delhi from today. In Mumbai, cost of 19 kg commercial cylinder is Rs 1,808.50 whereas it costs Rs 1,960.50 in Kolkata.
It was on March 1 this year hiked the state backed OMCs hiked the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹350.50 per unit and domestic LPG cylinders by ₹50 per unit.
The prices of the commercial cylinders were slashed thrice last year by Rs 91.50, Rs 36 and Rs 8.5 per unit on September 1, August 1 and July 6th respectively.
As compared to domestic LPG cylinders, the prices of commercial gas tend to fluctuate more. In 2022, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders was hiked four times, and reduced three times.
