Dantewada: The Central Armed Police Forces (CPAFs) started investigating the Dantewada Case, just a day after the driver and 10 Reserved Guard workers were killed in a Van blast. The initial phases of the research revealed that the Maoists got the signals of DRG Jawans’ presence when some local people stopped their Van for some donations.

Their vehicle was stopped just 100 metres from the IED point, and just a few minutes before this incident, another car carrying two Maoists crossed the same path without any issues. The blast happened 50 km from the headquarters between 1 and 1:30 PM.

These events started when Maoists fired Congress MLA Mandavi. Fortunately, no one got injured in that incident when the MLA was returning to Bijapur. The sources even say that “Investigation had revealed that the weapon of the assailant got jammed when they attacked Mandavi; his driver in the meantime managed to speed away from the spot,”

The Initial investigation officials said the van driver stopped the vehicle 100 metres from the IED point. At the same time, another car carrying two Maoists crossed the same road. The officers said that “There is a strong possibility that the locals signaled the Maoists that the DRG jawans were present and they were also carrying weapons. As soon as the van reached the point, the blast occurred and the vehicle flew some 50 metres.”
