Kolkata: On the occasion of Ram Navami, the Howrah region in Bengal experienced Violence. After the incidents, the Calcutta High Court ordered the National Investigation Agency to investigate the violence in the city during the celebration of Ram Navami. 

Suvendu Adhikari, a BJP Leader, petitioned that the anti-terror agency must investigate this matter. Due to this petition, the investigation of this matter has been transferred to the anti-terror agency from the West Bengal Police. The Court has also ordered the Police to provide all the records and CCTV footage to the anti-terror agency.

Last month, many vehicles were set on fire on Ram Navami, and stones were thrown at shops in the Shibpur region of  Howrah. Trinamool Congress and BJP blamed each other for the fights between the two groups. 

The MP of Trinamool Congress, Abhishek Banerjee said that BJP will be caught in case the investigation occurs in the region. Mamta Banerjee also put down some allegations on BJP that they had hired people for the communal riots.
